I just got small group of these guys. Are they hard to breed? At what size will they breed? I honestly got a couple with no intention of breeding but I really like them and want some more.

fullsizeoutput_5ed.jpeg My Guianacara started spawning at just over 2", they put down about 40 fairly dark green eggs in a small piece of drift wood, that matched the color of the algae on the woo, where they had cleared a small pit. They were very well hidden, so hard to get a pic of.

There seem to be a lot of ppl breeding this and others in MA, a local fish store typically has several different sizes available. The ones near me may be the species that starts with an “o” and has a “w” in the spelling.
I would assume given their abundance ty readily breed. I have a trio 2f, 1m that seem to always be courting but never laying
