So quick question for those here (particularly KRJ or Matt). Thinking of adding a pair of guitarfish to my tank - what water temps would you recommend? Are they like grey smoothhounds, that really require low 60s for temp, or like cali horn sharks, that are happy in low-mid 70s? I've found info on fishbase and a couple other engines, but I rate the info here quite highly.

Note, I mean California local guitarfish.

Thanks!

Are there different species of guitarfish?

Cos some sites say 5ft max size when i've easily seen 8fters.

Several species. 4 are commonly talked about. The giant shovel nose guitars found down under get well over 10' long, same with the endagered bowmouth guitars. There is also a medium sized cooler water species found off of the West coast of the US, and a smaller species found in the Atlantic/Carribean.
