Could someone give me or point me to some legit info on guitarfishes? I don't see much info on them very often. I'm looking for basic stuff like tank size, max size, temp, origin, etc.
I've seen these guys on here before and they are REALLY cool-looking. I'm looking into adding one to the collection.

they grow really long like 5 feet blacktip17 sell them i think.

Do you have a specific species, genus, or even locale that you're looking for? From what I've gathered in the short info gathering I did on them, there are 3 different groups of temperatures the guitarfish can be in, depending on it's locale, genus, and species.

Seems the most popular is the rhinobatos productus aka the Shovelnose. They can get between 5-6ft in length. They range from the mid-california regions down to the Sea of Cortez, someone else will have to tell you exact temp ranges for this specific species. For the full grown size tho, I would suggest a tank suitable for that size fish. Hope I helped atleast with the non-specific side of the data needed, hehe.

Shovel nose is too much of a common name. We had Australian shovel nose that got over 10' long. The smallest species are in the Atlantic / FL Keys. They get 3' or so.

Most guitars you can care for very similar to other rays. Lots of swimming space, similar water chemisty and similar diets.
