Hello there MonsterFishKeepers !

Couple of weeks ago i introduced my gulper cats. Really happy with the 2 monsters and how they reacted to JBL gyrodol in the first week i got them (against worms etc.).

I just have question and something i think u have to see. They are eating good, swimming around and acting like gulpers as they should, but this movie is very odd.

1 gulper is blowing himself completely up and the other one is 'scratching' his back and head a couple of times with some strange movements. They both are back in normal conditions a.w.s. but what on earth are they doing ?

Any tips or advices ?

mine bloats up sometimes awell mate not a clue why tho but it never gets as bid as yours in the vid. dont think it can be anythin serious as mine is allways ok after it deflates back to normal

The bloating sometimes happens with mine also.

What I do not like is the others sudden movement. Some parasite in the skin in th ehead region? Something in the interior of the head?

If it does feed and otherwise act normal, I would merely keep watch to see if that behaviour increases in frequency....

Okay,... So the bloating seems harmless, maybe some inconvenience in the cat's stomach or something like that. But the spontaneously inconvenient movements that the other fish is making, indeed can be effected by some worm/parasite. I have to say
that the movements in the movie are much heavier and wilder then the other 4 times
he turned and 'scratched' himself. So maybe it looks bigger then it is.

Dont see any spots or other alerting disorders on the skin but how to handle from here ? Treated them, as said before, with JBL gyrodol.. Or no further treats and see how it develops ?

the one in the back looks like its just scratching an itch.
