I have a chance at some gulper cats 5 for $300. Is it worth it? They will be going into a 125. Is that enough room? Its cycled been a neon tetra breeding tank for a while. Ph 6.0-6.2 soft

A bit pricey IMO but it's also for 5 fish so if you like them go for it. Just be prepared to do a lot of WCs for all those fish in a 125. Oh yeah and say goodbye to any neon tetra fry that might be left hiding in there 
I'd say it's an ok price- considering with shipping it'd take me about$100 to get just 1 here

I know its a lot but the only gulpers I see are online for $100+ each. Its got a 80 gallon sump on it and its heavily planted I do a water change once a week about 1/3 the tank and almost all the sump. Then RO new water in with a little of kent r/o right and blackwater extract
nice looking gulper is that pool filter sand? i was thinking about doing that it has black sand right now
If you do decide to switch to it the more you wash the sand the better/brighter the sand will be if you don't wash it to much it will look kind of gray

yeah i've never used it thats good advice but it seems like a pain in the butt since its got flourite under the sand
