Well I just ordered 2 "gulper cats" from my wholesaler. I've been looking for info on here and I'm surprised at what I found. I noticed that these seem to be quite expensive, and possibly rare. Mine are only about 3.5 inches, and I'm trying to ID them to see if they are the same as the one's I've seen on here. The reason for my confusion is because the price I got them at is WAY less then the common price I've seen here. I don't have pics, but if anybody has info on how to ID the juveniles to see if they are true "gulpers", Thanks.

I got a few gulper catfishes but not small like the ones you ordered. Below is the link that have some good references to gulper catfishes. There are however another catfish that closely resembles the gulper which is Trachycorystes trachycorystes but once you see both, you can easily tell the difference. Hope this helps answer some of your questions.
