Just got home from work and my smallest Gulper is covered in white stuff. I did a 50% water change and I added a half dose of Pimafix and Melafix. It has been about 15 minutes and some of the white stuff is falling off the Gulper. Here are a few pictures, anything else I should do?

aw, sorry to hear that man.. it looks like fungus to me..hope it makes it. one of my gulpers just hides under piece of wood all day and barely eats :(

is the gulper eating?

Yea he is eating

I'm wondering if it is Columnaris.

Info on my setup:

135G
FX5
two AC110's
UV Sterilizer
Power Head

5 Gulpers, Aquarium is 80 deg's I do two water changes per week about 35-45%

Do you have any abrasive decorations? Please check your decorations and remove the ones with suspected sharp edges. It's likely columnaris. Your best bet would be a combination of Maracyn and Maracyn 2. Treat the fish in a hospital tank.

All I have in the aquarium is sand and fake plants. Should I lower the temp? I read for columnaris temp should be around 74.

Bacterial infections do progress quicker in elevated temperatures. 76 degrees will work just fine.

Well I last night I did a 50% water change and I added a half dose of Pimafix and Melafix, added some salt and lowered the temp to 76 deg. Woke up this morning turned on the lights and the Gulper looks great! :headbang2

90% of all the stuff is gone, he is swimming around very active. I will continue the half dose of pimafix and melafix for the next 7-10 days

Should I do water changes every day for the next 7-10 days?

yes, continue to do water changes and dosing until its 100% gone. if you give fungus one opportunity to re-grow, it will.

How big should my daily water changes be?

Thanks
