I am worried just bought a 3.5 inch gulper last week and I havent seen him eat yet he has a bit of a beely but dont know if he is eating or not I tried waving some shrimp in front of him and he was not interested I have had some feeder gold in for about a week and I am not sure if he is eating them or is it my 12 inch channel cat should I be worried

Gulper cats are pretty crazy to keep actually. They are known to eat food much larger then them, as well as go off of food for a LONG time. keep making food available for them and only keep him in the tank if you have anything smaller or around the same size. I wouldn't worry as of now. give it another week or so and then go into panic mode. PM me if you would like more info

if he eats the others before i can move them it would suck but I love the gulper too much was 100 canadian too much I have seen 8 inchers for 240 so i think i got a steal of a deal

I am a huge fan of planet catfish as they prob have the HUGEST database of catfish and info on them. It doesn't say anything about them going off food... but it does say a lot of info as well as a prefered food= krill and earthworms. Give those a try. if they don't work, try different types of worms.
