Very much south..
I got a couple gulpers.

One of them ate some cichlid feeders.

They do not understand the whole "food in tweezers " concept.

Is there a way to get these monsters eating?

Will they pick food from the bottom? shrimp for instance?

Any advice is appreciated

Stay alway from feeders unless you quaratined them. They carry way to many deseases and harmful parasites. Im thinking its parasiteds give prazi pro a try it worked for me and my 8 eat like hogs atleast 4 jumbo shrimps a day until i cut back on feeding to once a week cost to much and bad for the water.

I hand feed mine but will eat food from the bottom. Took about two weeks for him to eat out of my hand. It did go through a period (just recently) of about 5 weeks where it wouldn't eat anything and then one day just started eating again.

they will pick food from tweezers, your hand or the ground when they realise its food.
it can take them a while.

I had a Gulper awhile back. It took shrimp from my hand. I think you just got to wave it around by it's face and just be patient with it.
