I got a 36L-12W-25H with one Gulper about 5in. AquaClear 70 Power Filter...I just wonder what substrate, Live plants? I was thinking Black sand and two large peices of driftwood...But whats everyone else have...Can anyone help with ideas?

Thanks

I have the exact same size tank empty and was thinking of going gulper too. :)

Substrate is totally up to you gulper doesn't care they're not bottom dweller's. I would however go with a better filter canister for instance and a powerhead. Gulper's love powerheads. I would also suggest white sand the gulper will stand out more. Black sand will make it harder to see. I'd also suggest dim lighting maybe a blue fluorescent light to make them more active during the day. Also plants to give them some place to duck into while still allowin you to see them.

thats a great setup.

Are gulper cats glass bangers? Now I'm a bit hesitant. The glass on the 45 gallons are awfully thin.

nah you should be fine just make sure its sand is a gulper eats something on the ground you dont wont them to get large gravel in their mouths
