gulper wont eat...

one and a half weeks.
im starting to get worried.
he wont touch shrimp.
when i put it at his face,he nibbles a bit and swims away.
how long will he take to start eating?
the last one i had ate the first day...
 
One of my gulpers is like that.

I have to basically force it into his mouth when he starts his nibbling, then he takes it. Sometimes he ignores the shrimp all together so I'll have to tap him on the head enough (basically piss him off) and he'll flair at the shrimp and I'll shove it in there...then he's like "Oh yeah...I forgot I like this stuff."
 
im going to try with different foods.
but so far he just swimis away when i put the prawn at his face.
maybe hes still unstable?
when i got him,he just arrived at the shop.
 
You could try soaking the food in Garlic extract that sometimes gets them going.

i'll try that.
ive tried goldfish.
but even when the goldfish swam next to him,the gulper didnt bother.
then the arowana ate it...

Ohhhhh...that's harsh....but I think a few people were kind of thinking the same thing. :D

My gulpers show no interest in live foods. I have a RTC/TSN in with them he's the one who picks off all of the live foods.

From time to time my gulpers will flee from food too. I usually just give it a couple of days without harassing them and then try again and they usually can't get enough once they realize it's that or nothing.
