I have fed my Gulpers a mixed diet of white fish (either Coly or Pollock) and prawn for some time.
Over the last month or so, they are not eating the white fish. They take it and then reject it like it is 'bad' or something. Being Gulpers they have a little bit. They absolutely devour the prawns though, they will eat and eat and eat prawns.
I feed them once a week, but for two weeks in the last month I have had to feed prawn only, and from what I read this is not an acceptable diet due to something (thiamine) in certain seafood (including prawn). They did eat their normal amount of white fish last week though but are again refusing this week.
The fish is from the same 'batch'.
Is it possible they are simply 'going off it'? Any recommendations for cheap alternatives without thiamine. Would it be ok to give them a whole (dead) fish with bones, skin etc.
Thanks for the help, Gulpers are great otherwise.
