Do they need heaters to live and breed? i need the heater in thier tank and dont want to buy a new one. is it feasible?

Yes, and no.
I've had some Endler's in a pond the whole summer as mosquito controll, they are still in it and it's in the mid 50's now. Still alive.

I don't heat my tank and they'll still spawn like crazy.
The fish will grow quicker if you heat the water, but it's not nescesary.

i don't heat my guppie or convict breeding tanks. Been like that for around 8 years. My house stays in the lower 70's.

i have well over a couple thousand breeding outside constantly in a 125g pond temps around 69-72 day 67-62 night. filtration is a sponge and covered sump to help minimalize babys to be sucked in the in-put.

Have you had any guppy deaths at 62 degrees?.
