There is a guy near where I live that has a 10 gallon tank for $15 that's already cycled that comes with a filter. I was thinking of putting my guppies in there and I wanted to know what you guys think of buying the tank and adding some cherry shrimp and some guppies. I would add around 7 guppies and around 4 shrimp. What do you guys think? Or do I need two separate tanks?

IMO bad combination. My guppies are like mini sharks lol

they have taken each other’s eyes out while feeding, I’ve had at least two missing eye incidents.Plus the guppies rush Any and all food that hits the tank, even my plecos zucchini.

If the shrimp had enough hiding spots it could work, but guppies can be vicious. Larger species of shrimp may fare better though.

Just curious, what kinds of guppies? Endlers are more peaceful and smaller from what I’ve seen, but fancies are evil.

Lots of hiding spots should make a big difference.

They are fancy guppies but I would put guppy gras and java moss for the shrimp to hide in. And if you guys think this is a bad idea. I can also just put the shrimp in my 5 gallon tank and the guppies in the new 10 gallon tank
What sponge filter would you guys recommend for the 10 gallon tank?
