Im trying to establish a guppy colony in my 20gal tall. I have lots of live plants. Apatogen, dwarf lily, anarchis, hornwort, and some red ludwigia. So lots of hiding olaces. Ive been keeping my water quality good. My pet store has refunded several guppies because neither of us can figure out what is wrong. Whats happening is i lose fish to what appears to be aggression? I had this problem with only guppies in this aquarium. I now have 1 small pleco. Some ghost shrimp. And two molly fems. Now at 14 female and 3 male fancy guppies. I keep seeing fish with damage like the pic. Healthy one day then boom next day swimming slow in a corner or on top. Then after a few days death. Ive had this happen when i boxed 3 females about to give birth in a 5 gallon. One gave birth. The other two appeared to have fought. Ones lips were ripped completely off and her dorsal fin had a tear. I removed the healthy fish and tried to save the battered fish with melafix and stress coat. After a few days she died. That was an isolated incident. But i beleive the same thing is happening inside the 20g. I cant find a culprit. I watch and watch nothing i can see. Help please guppy pros!

I'm not a guppy pro, but I have 100s breeding now and have in the past also. My current ones are a failed attempt at putting small fish in with my fahaka. Now that I don't care if he eats them he won't...lol. All of mine are breeding in a 40b with my crayfish colony. All my guppies are in good shape and continue to pump out babies. There is zero cover aside from the pvc pipes the crays inhabit. I have never seen any of my guppies being aggressive to each other or signs of aggression anytime I've bred them.
I am also not a disease pro but to me it looks like maybe fin rot or another disease.
Maybe water chemistry? What's your hardness and pH?
