One of my guppies I have had for 3 months got stuck the the filter inlet I turned the filter off and he swam a little but his tail is just shredded. Is there anything I can put in his water? I have bettafix if I can use that.

I am against aditional chemicals in a fishtank so, no. If you water is clean than the tail will heal fast. You might want to get a sponge cover for the filter.

you can add some aquarium salt and raise the temp close to the temperature tolerance range, and some stresscoat. You could add some melafix if youre not opposed to chemicals in your tank.

Melaflix its all natural, i too object from unknown chemicals in the tank, but i go to this onesimply because i've seen it rebuild 3 of my bumble bee cats in weeks

Honestly, a healthy fish would not get caught in the outlet...

The best you can do is to maintain good aquarium hygiene (water changes, biofiltration) and to offer a healthy diet.

Well I had them with 5 tetras and they are doing fine. Is it possible they got really stressed out from the new tetras I put in there tank?
