I gave my feeder guppies some brine shrimp, and all of a sudden, they attacked the brine shrimp just like cichlids. Most of them couldn't eat them, but I never saw feeder guppies do that. Just pointing that out, don't flame me.

Why would anyone flame you? That's really cool.

they do that when i feed them brine shrimp as well. weird though

Just curious why it's weird?

because they seem to just stroll around the tank when you put non-moving food in like flakes or pellets, but when live food is added they turn into freakin sharks.

That's because fish love live food, and it's what they eat in the wild. Not flakes.

probably because he was waiting for the response..."this is MONSTER fishkeepers...not guppy central!" you know how some people can be on here.

i think that is very cool as well. i have never tried feeding guppies live food. that is pretty cool.

Yeah, that's pretty much why.

Santoury, I think it's weird considering how peaceful guppies look most of the time. Until they are exposed to brine shrimp, hehe :nilly:

like santoury said though. fish love live food!

But, after all, when everything is said and done......

this is Monster Fish Keepers, not Guppy Central!!!
