Hey dudes,
Wondering if anyone has got any advice on ways to quiet down the gurgling sounds from my down pipe in my tanks overflow weir:

Tank is 6 x 2 x 2, a weir tower in one corner with a 32mm down pipe running through a drilled hole in the bottom glass into the cabnet where it runs into two 45 degree bends and submerged into 3 inchs of water ( to prevent splashing ) in the trickle tower where there is a series of sponges of various grades, then the water runs through a mountain of bioballs and alfragrog ( sintered glass ) then pumped back up to the tank via a oceanrunner 3500 pump.
im at a loss as to how to prevent the sounds and really need to sort this quick as the wife is about to kill me :WHOA:.

Cant strip down tank as it was a nightmare to install it, plus i dont think its got room enough in the weir for it any way, any more suggestions ?
Would a ball valve work ? :nilly:

Wont the bioballs block the downpipe ?, just an idea but would a u-bend fixed on top of the downpipe work with a small hole drilled on the top of the bend, what ya think ?

i had a the same problem is its ur pump is to small because the there is to much air in the hose going into the sump so thats why u have that sound but it also demepds on ur sump aswelll
