ok, well as some may know I was going to order my bigger set up today....but due to personal reasons I have had to pull out from doing so, so it looks like for the time being I will have to stick with my 450 litre (5ft x 20in x 26in) set up, really gutted as it will mean I need to let go of a fair few of my current stock as I had (stupidly) bought enough fish for the bigger set up due to them not being mature yet, I want to keep one of my midas/devils, and would also like to keep my buttikoferi....would this work long term? is there any scope for any other fish in there in a set up this size? or am I pushing the boundries enough as it is just keeping these two long term?....I am hoping that I may be ok keeping one midas/devil, the butti....my ornate bichir, a plec and possibly a couple of smaller fish?....thoughts anyone?.....suggestions on how you would stock this tank?.....also as tempting as I`m sure it is, there is no point flaming me....I feel bad enough already, and should have known better than getting my stock before I had my final set up!....

Full grown Butti claims/needs a 6' tank to itself so you're SOL if you want to keep anything else. a 5' will be ok for a solo fish.

yeah I figure the 5ft will not be good long term for the butti, he is only around 8in at the moment and is actually very peaceful....and I will be getting a big set up eventually, but I honestly don`t know when that will be now (but this year hopefully).....I may keep just my most dominant midas/devil, the butti, bichir and a plec along with my convict male (maybe add one or two more)....at least in this set up with the numbers down they should flourish....and the butti and midas completely ignore eachother, so hopefully it will work for long enough until I am in the position to upgrade again.
