Hello again my lovely poly peeps, so after much debate with the wife and myself (especially after watching my dad fail over and over with them) I have switched to live plants! We're in the process of converting all the tanks over from synthetic to real decor so I figured I'd share it with you guys

Not a poly guy but you are right on track with the live plants. Only way to go with an aquarium IMHO. More work? Yeah a bit but the look and feel of the tank! Blood sweat and tears well spent. Bravo.

Thanks Dave I know the plants will help keep nitrates down and all that but I worry about all the bb that I took out by removing the fake decor

It will just take time to change your mind.
Only in a smaller dedicated tank. I wish i had the patience for it but sadly do not

I'll be honest it's a bit frustrating with these smaller plants I initially had the tall one (can't remember correct name for it) in there first with all the fake stuff but it took off like mad so I took the plunge they haven't uprooted it yet but I woke up this morning to all my mini swords floating around
