well, this is about my water.. i stocked up my 55G with water on it.. and it's more than a week now and decided to use the 55G..

is the water still good to use? again guys, the water been there for more than a week now.. there is no movement that is going on.. no airstone, filter etc. or should i just replace it with new water?

thanks guys!

its fine as long as it doesnt smell stagnant. i would just add airation

it's been stagnant for one week. just give it some movement first. switch on your filter and airpump. much like cycling.

uhhh you shuld put feeder goldfish and cycle it for a about 2 weeks with a filter then u can put fish in as long as all the goldfish dont die by that time. i say you prolly need like 30 goldfish for a 55gal

I can't even imagine what Poklei is making that suggestion for. It will result in a tank full of toxic water and dead gold fish. I suspect he has a very misinformed understanding of tank cycling and basic biology.

Stir the water up, give it a good sniff and it should be fine.
