GUYS What happen to my flower horn

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The cichlid above looks more like a midevil to me, although because flower horn seems to be a catchall term for almost any hybrid these days, it may be simply a hybrid where the Amphilophus genes are dominant.
Many midevil Amphilophus start out with lots of melanin, but (as stated above) change to lighter colors (fade) when mature.

so does it heavy devalue

De-value is in the eyes of the beholder, I would not take a flower horn if you gave it to me for free. I find "any" type cichlid hybrid to be worthless.

what you say is worthless.

this is not your expertise obviously

So my flowerhorn was black before this happen

it's normal. And his head is broad so He's a FH with amphilophus skin colors. Everything else from mouth, eyes, cheeks, broad head base, ect. are FH traits; He's got no pearl and fading(fading is an amphilophus trait)
