So I'm leaving town for a few days and I just checked and topped off all my tanks. When I poured water in my armatus tank it just went into panic mode.It launched itself up and knocked the lid sideways and fell to the floor, flapping around on the basement concrete. With it flapping around I tried to maneuver it into a bucket and dump it back into the tank.It launched out agàin,this time it flapped its way under a chàir that I tossed aside to be able to get him...It is now back in the tank and looking pretty beat up but surprisingly,it's eyes don't look to be damaged..I have to leave soon and I hope he doesn't check out on me.

That's rough. Just leave the lights off, and maybe add some mela/pimafix and hope for the best.
Good luck, and try not to worry about it too much.

Damn, that sucks Krich ... hopefully he'll be alright ... i wouldnt add anything, IMO meds are a last resort, plus if you dropped him back in and he was swimming and breathing ok i think he'll be alright ... i would think he would have been swimming weird, or unable to keep his balance if the knock damaged him, but i'll keep my fingers crossed just in case!

Id at least boost the temp and add salt. Secondary infection is going to be your main concern. Armatus have very fine scales and sensitive skin. I dropped my guy moving him a few days ago, luckily on carpet and luckily I quickly scooped and scored, BUT he did have some damage that could have gotten infected. I raised the temp to 84, added a bit more salt then normal (I always keep 1 tblsp/5 gallons) and added stress gurad.

good luck. I would turn the lights off and consider salt.

I'm still in suspense as I am traveling back now and won't be home until the evening.....STAY TUNED!
