Anyone have experience with this species? I have found very little about them online. I have 2 right now, 1 adult and one juvi. They're by far one of the most colorful of the geos IMO but there's not much information out there. Any advice or info, especially about breeding, would be appreciated, thanks!

Not exactly sure I know the species but if I remember correctly it's a ex-Meridionalis type. Regardless most gymnos have pretty standard care. Feed a small pellet as a staple and treat with blood worms, brine shrimp, peas and spirulina flake. Keep the tanks unheated so the wintertime the tank should be in the low 60s and summer upper 70s to low 80s. This change in seasons helps them breed and helps their longevity. I keep mine with sandy substrate since they are "naked eartheaters". Hope this helps!

Also checkout aqvaterra.com and you can see lots of gymnos and other fishes from Uruguay!

I don't know anything about them but it's a beautiful fish! and +1 on it looking like a GT
