I saw my LFS had these listed, price is extremely high, about $125, size 2". Do take in account that fish prices here are higher in general than in the US.

Can anyone tell me anything about them?
Are they rare?
Anyone here who has experience with these fish?

These are gymnos from the lower Rio Paraguay. They are a mouth brooder but that is about all I know about them. They have become more prevalent here in the US in the past year but are still not common. Hopefully someone who has kept them can give you more info.

Is the $125 for the group or per fish?

Thanks, per fish.
I have 10 at the moment that are about 1.5" to 2". I paid $10 each. The price your LFS is asking seems extremely high to me.
Yeah it is extremely high, not gonna get them.
You gotta take into account that he's in Iceland :)

Yeah, but fish here are usually double the price, the LFS is asking way to much.

Thanks for the answers!
