Gymnogeophagus ID please

I traded my female atro for this pair. So far I like them a lot, I'll try to get some better pics, these were taken of them just getting into the tank.

Only thing is, they were given to me as G Australis but they don't look like the pics when I look them up. The male has a stripe down his face and spangles go below the lateral line. Pics online show the spangles above the lateral line and no facial stripe. :confused:

A 20 long is pretty tight for these guys, especially a male and female. It could work but the female will end up beaten eventually.

These guys are harem spawners, so having a male with a few females is much preferable to a "pair".

They are G. gymnogenys, but without a defenitive location I would not call them Quilero (from A. Yerbalito) even though they are the most common Gymnogenys in the hobby. Ken
