I just got three of these from Ken. Great service and great deal as always.

They are about 2" and in an unheated 75g with other small tankmates.

They active and began sifting and eating rifgt away.

Question is they seem very aggresive towards each other. Especially one which is dominant and territorial. Some chasing and flaring/liplocking.

Will these guys settle in and hang together?

Is three a bad number and I need a larger group? I would be happy with just a pair.

They are all the same size so maybe they are all the same sex?

This is my first experience with gymnos and I thought they were more mellow.

Anyone have pics of what they may look like when bigger?

Thats a 1" Balzani in the backround

Thanks...Bill

They should settle in over time, they came out of a larger group which shows no aggression toward each other. I sent you a trio. Wild male in pic Ken

Excellent! Great lookin fish and I am very pleased.

Interesting that (i would think) this is the first time they saw sand and knew what to do right away.

Thanks again...Bill

I got 5 of them from Ken out of the same group. Mine are doing well with very little aggression. But they are in with several other Uruguay fish. If you have multiple males they will fight a lot if you do not have enough females or space.

Mine have grown a lot. 2 males are close to 4" and females a around 2.5". They are extremely nice gymno's. I have mine with 7 gymnogeophagus quilero, 8 Balzani, and a pair of minuano pikes.

very nice. i am considering picking up some too to go with my balzanii. i have an empty 75 perfect for this setup and your fish to give me some inspiration. :)

As everyone else has said they should settle down in a couple days. I have 5 and once the dominate male established himself the fighting has pretty much stopped. Great pick up btw!

cool i have some 1" ones in a 15gal they r soo cool.

nice yerbalita  they should grow to be some nice fish.

JD, let me know if you ever want to get rid of a few quilero, my 3 are a bit lonely :D

i have 10 that i got of aquabid i believe there known as quillero too i love them i plan to keep the nicest 5 mine eat and sift great and no aggresion

some are quilero and some are actually yerbalita. they look very similar as juvis but different as adults. if they just came from Ken they actually are yerbalita. his last batch were mislabeled by his supplier as yerbalita but actually quilero
