Thru most of the winter, my Gymnogeophagus gymnogenys sp. Paso Pache have been resting at @ 50'F. They fed occasionally on low protein goldfish pond food, but mostly fasting. Their tank has now soared to just under 70'F, they starting eating thawed peas and are starting to color up.

Not a stupid question.
Gymnos come from southern South America, a climate much like Georgia in the US.
Considered temperate, and they do best with a cool/cold water resting period a few months per year.

Hey I've been meaning to add peas to my gymnos diet, what kind of peas do you use and what kind of prep do you do for feeding them?

I grab a pack of whatever frozen peas are on sale and thaw them in water from one of my warmer tanks, squeeze them out of that shell membrane, give a little squash, and they tear into them. The Goodiedae in the first pick like them too.
