After 10 years of keeping rare morays I had a tank crash last summer and lost the majority of my stock. My heart simply isn't in it anymore. All I have left is this 30" (or so) Gymnothorax berndti and a small white eye moray (Siderea species). I've tried to get back into it but it's just not going to happen. They've both been well cared for, but it's a waste for me to keep them - they deserve someone who's truly going to love them

Anyone familiar with these knows they go for $1000+ when they're available, which is rarely. I would like to ensure this guy goes to a passionate, knowledgeable person who is going to give him the setup and care he deserves. Because of that, I am willing to negotiate an absolutely screaming deal for the right hobbyist. By this I mean I want someone that is crazy about morays, has more than adequate housing and will care for these awesome critters for the rest of their (long) lives. The white-eye is included as well. The berndti is in great shape, eats like a champ and is STUNNING. He does have minor crook-jaw, but I've had him for almost 2 years and it's been exactly the same during that period of time (ie, it's not getting worse).

I'd love $300 for both of them, but again, if you're nuts about morays, ready to convince me that you're the right keeper I'll happily work out a deal. I want whats best for what remains of my once stunning collection. I am in New Hampshire, but I'm happy to ship.

Please email me at padraig.sea@outlook.com if you are interested.

Didn't know you had lost your eels. You had a very impressive collection. I'll ask a few folks up here in Maine, but I don't think anyone can house a large eel.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Back on up.... anyone??

I'd absolutely love to put these in my 265. My Tessellata is growing out in my 180 now, and he seems fairly content.

I can't wait until I can go 500+ later this year when I can take the time off work. I'm jealous you've got such unique eels. What's their favorite food? My tess loves fresh squid and yellow fin tuna. He won't touch it if it's been frozen haha

Comatose, I sent you an email.

I'd love to buy/steal your eels. I think it would be very hard to find them a better home. 375 now, and the 750 I already have downstairs in the future. I only keep eels so they're always what the tanks are built around.

I made you a video, cause I thought it would be easier to show you the level of commitment here rather then tell you, as pics are worth lots of words..... lol :)

I told myself it would take a lot to get me to post on this site again, and this is a lot. I'm really sorry to hear about your losses. I'm sad to hear your hearts not in it anymore. I've always looked up to your collection, and even more to your passion to go out and find thee eels you wanted regardless of price. The level of dedication it takes to track these things down isn't going to be respected unless you've traveled that road and tried to find such rare creatures. It made me very happy to see you finally land them, but sad at the same time as I was just too deep in the rays to be able to afford one. From one eel keeper to another, thank you for the inspiration over the years. And best of luck in contracting the sickness again and some time in the future diving back into eels. I hope I'm able to aquire your eels, add them to mine and stream the tank in hopes of someday inspiring you to get that fire back. ;)

Hope to hear from you soon sir......

DE junkie, what types of eels are those in that pic and are they yours? Because I am looking for a rare, bad*** looking eel for my shark pond like a dragon moray and I was curious because they are very pretty.

Yup, they're mine.....

Hawaiian Dragon, Brazilian Dragon, African Horned, and suspect the last one to be a Gymno Prionodon or a Yuri.

Diver's Den (Live Aquaria) seems to be the only decent source for Morays but they rarely have anything but the common stuff.
