A local store had what I believe was a juvenile of this species, and most research just indicates that it is a small growing moray and also a fish-eater, just wondering if anyone has any experieces with this species, can't seem to find much online.
Sorry for ressurecting a dead thread. Gymnothorax Richardsonii is known in my country as Belut Burik and in the Phillipines as Bakasi Eel. It is a food source in the Phillipines as well. These eels lives in shallow coastal waters especially in the intertidal zones and in the estuarium. They are small and not so aggressive. I handled one with my own hand and it didn't attempt to bite at all.
