I figured I'd start up a thread to catalog my pictures and experiences/thoughts/questions thus far to keep it all in check. Step one is the pictures! These are all within the last two weeks.

Before I picked them up:

I bought them as a breeding pair, they have done some pit digging, they spend all their time together, made themselves a cave between the driftwood and rock on the right, use the cave I built in the middle. No breeding colors yet so who knows if/when they will breed. They enjoy their NLS pellets, blood worms, trout worms, and mysis shrimp so far. They get the NLS pellets as a main and the rest as treats. Any input/comments/suggestions/questions are appreciated.

Tossed some smaller guppy fry in today from my fiancee's tank. Silver dollars went to town carpintis not so much lol.

I have eggcrate underneath my sand to stop rocks from falling driftwood ect, I was just wondering if this had any negative consequences on breeding. They have dug down to the eggcrate but obviously they can't get to bare bottom tank. I have slate in the tank but it is not in a cave a piece on each opposite end of the tank. I'm just curious if they will lay eggs not in a cave, on the eggcrate/sand or if I need to forgo a piece of slate for a flower pot.

Not really sure about the breeding. Some species will make do with what they have and some wont. I dont have any experience with them so I cant help. Just wanted to say that is a nice pair and a really clean tank. Very nice
