H.O.B's on big tanks !

Is there anyone using hob's only on a big tank (90g-120g),and if so,how do you find that working for you?

My buddy has like 4 or 5 whisper 30-60's on tha back of his 125. The water is clear and the fish are happy but when he cleans his filters he cleans like 5 of them instead of one. He might as well of gotten a canister or sump. Probally cost about the same.

Although, I think they make big h.o.b.'s for big tanks. Anyone else?

I use a aqua clear 70 and a canister and my water is great. Im thinking Of getting a aquaclear 110. They are on my 100g

I use 2 AC 500s on my 90s and 75s and they work great.

I have 2 AC110s on my 120 , they seem to be keeping it pretty clean.

i currently have 2 ac70 on my 55g.....and when i setup my 150 i will be using 2 ac500s and a xp3

I'm using 2 AC 110's on my 77g without problems.

So I should be good with an AC 70 and 110 on my 108g,,,,,,or should I use 2 AC 110's ??

Canister filters suck for big tanks. Go HOB if you can't afford a full blown sump.

I had an xp3 on my 125 and I finally took it off and it is as clean and clear as ever
