H.O.T. Magnum HOB

Hey all,

I recently bought the HOT magnum hob canister filter. and it keeps emptying and blowing bubbles. I fill it with water before i turn it on, the latch in tight. my o rings are in the right spot. Has anyone had this happen? can anyone offer some suggestions?

Well i have the same problem with mine sometimes. And mines stays under the water line. I manual fill it with water and plug it up and it works. But sometimes it will just stop pushing water out and go dry.

usually that means its sucking in air from somewhere.bad o ring or something

did you strech the small bar near the bottom of the canister the one facing ur tank sometimes when the canister is in an small inclind position it does that, the canister should be straight.

I ahve done all of these things and i have decided that it is a faulty d-ring or a bad latch. My water is almost overflowing in the tank so thats not it. My o rings are brand new, i wetted them and they remain in place, and i have also messed with the angle on which it sits on the tank.

Im taking it back tommorow since Marineland wont acknowledge my existence.

Returned the thing. My LFs tested it and confirmed it was broken. Got a new one and it is working great
