I know these guys aren't easy to sex but wondered if anyone had and idea on these two. Here's the one I own.

This is the one I have a shot at getting. I'd like a pair of possible. What do you think? My gut feeling is the one I have is a female and this one is a male.
You're probably right but still hard to sex that first one. I've raised/bred them for some time and have always just watched for pairs forming to positively ID. Most of my images are on another computer but I found an old one that I posted a while back of a early formed pair with female in front with young male in background. Wish I had a picture available with slightly more mature fish
Thanks. I appreciate the quick reply. I figure I'll just roll the dice and go for it. Tough to find any of these guys around here to begin with.
On a side note, would you mind posting a pic of that tank? Scape looks nice and natural in that pic and I would love to see the whole thing.
