It's an unresolved issue as they grow much quicker in the wild. Constant suppliy of high protein foods, a good flow to build muscle mass and usually fish living in higher flow rivers are more adversly affected by nutrients in the water i.e. Nitrate. So your best bet is clean water, good food and some flow. It will be interesting to see if the flow is too much as mine has always really liked it, Make sure there is a place to get out of the flow though.
