This is Koi pond we finished this week for customer, size is 40x28x4ft deep. Has three savio skimmer/filters with 6000 gph pumps in each, bottom drain that is run back to an Ultima II filter with 150 watt uv and 1 hp pump moving around 7000 gallons thru Ultima filter. We dug pond and use old carpet to lay between liner and dirt helps to keep rocks and roots from putting holes in liner which is 45 mill.

We will start another pond this week that will have concrete bottom and block walls. Then we will put liner in it. Also will have buried filter room with vortex filter, bead filter and bio-filter those pictures will follow in another thread soon.

Enjoy.

Beautiful! I love your builds and installations. Is that an Ultima II, 30,000? Is a 150 Watt UV sterilizer adequate for 28,000 gallons of water? I'm only asking because I figured I needed a 120 Watt UV sterilizer for my 1700 gallon tank that we will hopefully be setting up when our fish room gets completed.

Thank you for kind words. That is a 20,000 model Ultima filter. The 150 watt uv is fine we are using it for water clarity more then anything. It will keep water clear so does not get green.

Ow yeah will mostly be for koi this pond, but once water heats up to around 75 we will put in some rays to grow them out for summer and then remove them when water starts to cool down in fall.

awesome pond man
