ok so i must be a little slow cause it took me 21 post to figure out how to start a thread lol guess i am no computer guru. so hi my name is barb and i like to take photos in my spare time. i love my fish tanks and i love photos so this should be fun. i am not a technical photographer but i think i am not to bad for not knowing what i am doing. so i guess i am here to pay attention and learn from others. :-D
 
oh yeah and what server do you guys use to put your photos on the web? i use photobucket for MFK but i don't feel like its as nice as what some of you use so i am interested. thanks

As long as you set the compression of the file so it's size is up to, but no more than 1MB, then there is no problem in terms of quality - if over 1MB photobucket will recompress the image to a 1MB filesize and I highly doubt it will maintain the quality, certainly not as well as a dedicated image editor will. Perhaps this is your issue?
 
Hi Barb and welcome to the forum! :)

I also use photobucket normally. I have 4 accounts. :) 1 is locked for private viewing only and the other 3 are for spamming the internet with my cruddy pictures. :)

some how i don't believe that they are totally cruddy lol all pictures tell a story weather they are great or not so great lol
