My clown knife lives in a sparcely furnished tank. It bores me, and I hope it dosent bore my knife. His main home in the tank is a large piece of PVC pipe that he loves in go in. Other than that there isnt really anything else in the tank except a very small clay pot which I has an airstone under (looks pretty cool when you hide the air tube.) I want to get fake plants for the tank and maybe some other decorations but I dont know what clown knife's would want? Anybody have a suggestion as to what I could put in the tank that wouldnt take up much swimming space for my knife but also loog good?

i agree think about the river with this setup use some sand some rock even some pebbles to litter the top of the sand with some bogwood never hurt and a few plants

I created a "wall" of plants that has a large opening against a piece of drift wood, and he loves it. Hides in there between the wood and plants until you approach the tank. As soon as he sees someone, he comes out. Then starts "cruizin" for food.

could I see a picture of that? It sounds like a good idea.

I am also thinking about putting something in the tank that will float at the top and block out some of the light, make the tank a little darker for him.

As long as the CK has a hiding place, he's not going to care. But a river set up would be great for it. CKs are ambush predators and will hide in between rocks or plants, in caves, drift wood, etc.
