ooops....thats y i always feed him first.
yesterday his rats hadnt defrosted bt all the others had so he got fed last. obv the scent drove him crazy as they r all in the same room and as i chucked the rats in, he got my calf and tried to pull me in his viv.
half hour later my leg is cramping REALLY badly and i cant walk because my foot has gone numb.

4 hours later, the dr at the hospital said he had torn through some muscle where he was trying to pull me, so tetnus shot and antibiotics lol

luckily hes quite a gentle eater.

il get a pic up later

p.s
this is y u always have extra handlers with big snakes at feeding time and always feed the burm first

can a mod move this to reptiles?
sorry just realise i did it in the lounge lol

he got my leg lol tongs wouldnt have helped. usually i just put them in and he takes about an hour to get round to eating them lol
my fault, i shouldnt have fed the others first....usually im not so idiotic.
he just ignored me putting the rats past him and in to the viv and carried on slowly towards my leg, then bam!

the one time i didnt have an extra handler aswell...typical...not that anyone could have done anything about it.

Doing jolly good.:D Was sick the last few days so I'm back now catching up on everything I missed.

Sorry to hear the snake bit you. Hope you'll recover in no time.:)

i bet you were like 'damn it!'...i want one of them so bad, but the wife is deathly afraid of snakes...i almost got bit on the face by a 10' female when i was 12 and ever since then i have been obsessed with them...her mouth was wide open and my nose was inside her mouth...she had some good teeth on her and i saw them up close...she was about to shed so her vison was off...good thing my buddy's dad was there to help me as they are strong, more so when they are constricting you and tring to bite your face...lol...good luck with the leg and feed it first next time;)

Ouch, that had to hurt.Prob get some nasty bruising too.I made a similar mistake this morning,i placed a dish of mice into a viv of hungry nile monitors by hand, the bleeding has stopped now...

You're lucky he didn't get you in the face. You're also lucky Burms are pretty gentle biters.
I would guess he's in the 7'-10' range?
