I use one of these for my tank. The sponge that are made for the tank are always backing up. Does anyone recommend any different media to use for it?

The original sponge is pretty good at collecting debris so depending on how much detritus your fish generate, you may have to clean it out more frequently. I have to clean my AC110 weekly.

How frequently are you cleaning the sponge and how do you clean it?

The same with you, about once a month.

No, I clean my sponges weekly, not monthly.

What size tank is this on? What kind of fish do you have and how many?

Is it worth it?

Where would I find Supreme Made, Mag-Drive Submersible Pump Foam Pre-Filter for Models 2 thru 5?

Do you want a prefilter or is your problem the hassle you go through taking out the basket and cleaning the sponge? If you just want a prefilter I used for my ac70 & 110 an old ac70 sponge made a slit and pulled it on the intake tube. Saves me a lot of hassle of pulling out the basket weekly.
