I just bought a dual 48 inch Hagen glo fixture. I bought the life-glo 6700k lights put them in, followed all of the directions, and the light doesn't seem to be working. When I plug the light in, the light turns on for like 3 seconds and then turns off. I know it is my outlet because I get the same reaction in 5 different outlets in my house. Also, both bulbs worked initially, but now I can only get one ti come on at the beginning. I know the bulbs are hooked up correctly, any thoughts?

The light probably just needs to go back to the store, but as I only have one day off every week to get stuff done, I was hoping this would work tonight. Just check to see if I'm an idiot or something...

Sounds like it's defective. I would return it.

Grrrrrrrrrrrr; I think so too. It has obviously been opened before. I guess they didn't believe the last person who took it back to them the first time. I hate when stores do that because they basically wasted my whole day by not doing something about it the first time. Oh well, maybe I should have known better, but it was all they had.

For what it's worth, I have one of those lights and it works very very well. I'm pretty happy with mine. Sucks that you got a bum one:(

That's why I got it; oh well, I guess every batch has a few bad eggs. I'll have to go somewhere else and get another. Thanks for the input.

The hagen HO T5 lights are great lights, however, I do see them come back every once and a while (seem like every 20-25) with that problem. I haven't seen this problem recently, so I suspect it was one batch that had some faulty wiring. Take it back and get it exchanged. Personally I have 7 hagen units, 3 dual 48", 3 dual 24" and one single 24". All work great.

i had the same problem with mine it turned out that i just hadent turned the bulbs in tight enough
but they are great lights i love mine
