I'm new to all this, but I'm looking for a fish tank. I've been offered a 50 gallon "Hagen" tank... that has some nice accessories that I know about... what is a "hagen" tank? is it high quality, anyone know a store I can look at to see what it costs and if it's worth what they're asking?

Any info/links would be GREATLY appreciated, I'm not afraid to read:)

I've already googled and saw that it's a company, but can't find any decent sites to see prices.

What are the measurements of the tank? How much is he asking? What specific accessories are coming with it? Does it include the stand and canopy? Does the tank have lids other than the canopy? Lots of questions to answer before we can send you in the right direction.

I've seen a hagen tank at my LFS it was a full setup, bow front with hagen full covering plastic tops, fluval heater, and fluval 305. I'm not sure about the price but it seemed like a nice tank.

Thank you both for the quick replies! He's just told me this:

"I have a 50 Gallon Hagen tank, with a black stand Filter light hood, Gravel, needs water and Fish."

The average price for used tanks is $1 per gallon (US dollars, not sure on Canadian equivalency), and the price for any equipment, stands, etc. that come with it depends on the condition and brands. Fluval is a decent filter brand, but I'm not familiar with that tank. I can't tell what's included otherwise in the pic.

Thanks, but $50? shouldn't that just be for the tank itself, because this has the canopy and stand. I'm going to go look at it, get all the specs then repost here with all the info.
