HAHA. so i noticed that my Jewel Cichlids had another batch of kids.
Funny thing is, none of them were on "their" side of the divider.
so as i approached the side where my red devil is, he was gettin CRAZY MEAN! im talkin REAL AGGRESSIVE. i was thinkin , "WTF?" so i looked a little closer and BAM!, all the fry moved over to him.

he aint stupid, he's raising his own food up! haha!!!
it's just too funny.

Back a few years ago I had a 75 gallon tank with a pair of red devils and a pair of managuensis in it. I have about an inch and a half of gravel on the bottom and I had put a few p[lnmts in to mark territorioes. Well low and behold the fish put the gravel in the middle (a wall if you will) and I planted the "wall tith the plants . When one pair would spawn the other would follow suit within a day or so. The young would travel from one side to the other wityh out fear of getting eaten but would have two sets of parents guarding them. It was a blast to watch.
