Hai Feng

Does anyone have any remarks about the food Hai Feng. I fed it to some of my fish and within a few weeks the color came out really good. a little to good. is there any kind of hormone in there?

hai feng claims they do not use hormones in their fish food

I don't know about thatbrand but if the reds and yellows got bright it probably contains lutiene or some carotenoid, these are natural pigments and are what color krill, pumpkins, and flamingo feathers, they don't hurt the fish and work very well, in very pale fish like kissing gouramis the color change become quite apparent within just a few days.

I dont know about Hai Feng But some Hikari pellets do contain carotenoid to enhance the coloration.

I also use Hai Feng and had great results for my Red Parrots and FH. Great Food!! Never heard of anyone having problems using this brand.

I use it for my flowerhorns. They like it.
