i just picked up a hujeta characin and it is alone in my tank. this last heat stroke unfortunatly killed my pike and bass. but noy i have this characin and an curious as to how they do with polys and or other fish...any ideas or suggestions. the fish is about 3 to 4 inches and i want more life to my tank. let me know Thanks!

this should go in "other monster fish"...but i have one in my african tank, it is also with sens, ropefish, balas, firemouth, and 2 bgks some ideas
I find the have a decent growth rate (and that's on pellets), try to avoid mixing them with other surface dwelling fish though. It should be OK with polys and other non-aggressive middle to bottom dwellers.
