I have never had it for like 10 years, Now I Do. :nilly: I do not mind having alge,I like the natural look:D , a little on my wood ,a little an my big rocks, some on the back glass:) .latly IV'e had "hare alge"........SO IS IT BAD. HOW DOS IT COME ABOUT.
My water is good so thats out. More Info MY PLANTS HAVE IT TOO.

High nitrates or high phosphates in most tanks. If you have plants, and it is present, then there is an imbalence in CO2-lighting-fertilization. My guess would be a lack of co2, or an overabundance of phosphates.

I got lazy and let my tank go 2 weeks before cleaning. But I have done that befor, never had a problem. I dought it is lighting I run 195wats on a 150 .If their is the hair alge on the plants. How do I get C02 in the water?

does it look like this?

if so,then get a siamese alge eater(not the gold or chinese varieties)or a black shark(thats what someone recomended to me)or you could just remove it with your hands, but im sure it would just grow back.you could also try more water changes
