I want to get blue highlights in my hair and ive just tried a spray one wash thingy and I can hardly see the blue atall. What products are the best to use to get blue highlights? A different spray? The gel stuff or what?

Cheers,
keith

Which brand did you use? What color is your hair? If this is washable and your hair is black or dark brown, I doubt you'll get good results. I'd ask a hair stylist in my opinion to choose the right brand for you. Most of the hair dyes used are permanent, not temporary though so think twice before you go for permanent hair dyes.

I've only highlighted my hair with the help of a hair salon. Mostly, I dye my hair using Kolour or L'Oreal brands but none as far as brown and red only.

My sister has been doing the same thing for a while now.

She actually went to a salon, and you can ask if they have blue colour there, and most of the time they have the crappy stuff that comes out in a day (thank goodness for that after I put a whole bottle of green in my hair) but sometimes they have some pretty good permanent stuff. And thats the stuff you want. Most of the time they say they'll wear off in like 4 months, but it takes about a month and a half for my sis.

Used (a good 6-8 years ago now) to do all sorts of colors to/in my hair, blue, green, purple, fire engine red etc... Back then most of the crazy colors were only easy to find in semi-permanent dye like Manic-Panic. Would last a few weeks before they faded and looked bad. Never did try the salon route, that was always too expensive for me.

yea my hair used to be metallic lime green and black light effective. and several other colors. its been more than 6 years since i last dyded my hair but my aunt still calls me cotton candy head. lol manic panic is the best because it does fade after a few weeks but you can always re-apply it. but its best to lighten the area you are coloring with a bleach/ toner first. and manic panic has like 4 or 5 different shades of blue.
