hi,i noticed on all my 3 bichirs that they have fine hair like creatures on them that move.what are they????obviously some kind of parasite, but what????what medicine should i use to kill the little buggers????

thanks in advance mark

I can't tell you exactly what they are, but I can tell you how to kill them. I just treated 4 senegalus with salt and Prazi Pro by Hikari, works like a charm every time. I also treated my retropinnis with this about 9 months ago.

anchor worms, common on bichirs. ive ised jungle parasite clear with results. no worries

Monogenetic trematodes(skin and gill flukes)These resemble fine hairs or very fine pieces of thread, they are visible to the naked eye by using Jungle labs Parasite guard at 3/4 dose.(this is the most comon parasite i have seen)-Anne

if they have forked tails they are probably anchor worms, if they don't they are most likely body flukes.

See Anne for treatment :) cause?? i dunno, i've had them appear out of nowhere before, i left them alone for a while and their number grew and they spread all over the body. I treated with parasite clear and they were all dead within 48 hours
