Hairy green mushrooms

I have two hairy green mushrooms and one of them looks like it is starting to split.

I was wondering if this was their means of propagating? The split is already through one side all the way up to the mouth. It is fully open and healthy looking.

I would say it is... unless it got damaged (though that could make it propagate any ways).

Sound like it is just turning into two mushrooms. They do this a lot. My green mushrooms split quite a bit. I had 5 to start now I have like 20.

I encouraged nature a little bit and just fragged it into qaurters. The frags are about an inch in diameter now and did it about two weeks ago.

Yes it is...be careful with shrooms, they can become like aptasia if you ever want to do high end SPS.

You can also tie a rubberband over the middle of them. This will encourage splitting.

well this is obbviously a salt water thing wich i know nothing about so far so bump

Haha, yea I was really surprised how quickly these guys heal after being quartered. Yea, I have seen tanks become over run with shrooms.
