Wanted to see if any one else has had a fish with a heater burn. My puffer has a tank to himself and I'm making sure the nitrates stay very low in the hopes that this wound will heal on it's own. The heater suction cups no long work to the heater stuck out a bit from the glass. I attached a magnetic clip to it today so it will be firmly against the glass.

Puffers are tough as nails when it comes to injuries so I wouldn't worry. I have had my Baileyi with all sorts of injuries that they recover from , worry not.

I justed wanted to show an updated photo of my puffer's wound. It's almost gone, just kept the water clean.

Fine work, with the wild caught smaller tetrodons less is very definatley more, they don't react well to medication etc. Like you say just clean water and a good diet and they will heal themselves.... they really don't need us meddling!
